Klitschko's Problem Toward the Smaller Guy

Wladimir Klitshko (56-3), the IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion, is expected to go easily with the fight against Jean Marc Mormeck who has 36-4 and 22 KO’s record. Their clash will be at Esprit Arena, Dusseldorf, Germany on December 10. It is said that it a mismatch but it would be a spectacular outcome if Mormeck will go over with Wladimir.

As Wladimir’s record is concern, this is his smallest contender he’ll face and it will be big challenge for him to handle such short opponent. It does not mean that Wladimir don’t do well while he’s on the outside, though there is no doubt if he will do well in the fight while having Mormeck on his jab at the end. Moreover, if Wladimir will try to land his right hands he will really face some problems. And he will be forced to downwardly punch Mormeck and it will surely deplete Wladimir’s power and energy. While, Mormeck here has this quick inside move that he likely apply for him to get close to his bigger contender.

If there will be a chance that Klitschko will be able spiked Mormeck in the Klitschko vs Mormeck fight, while he comes in, though we already witnessed Klitschko’s accurate but unpredictable moves. It would be the major problem for Klitschko because there are higher chances that he will miss hits and get countered because of his shorter opponent, Mormeck. There are a lot of similarities between Mormeck and Joe Frazier, they have both powerful left hook and right hand, and even to their head movements. Mormecks likely to come in low and making his opponent missing hits with his head movements and will pin down his opponents with big shots. We could expect and see a major upset on December 10 on the Klitschko vs Mormeck match, because Klitschko willsurely having difficulties in handling Mormeck’s big shots on the inside. And if Mormeck will be able to keep getting inside on Klitschko, he’ll surely have many opportunities to win over the fight with his big shots.
