The 30-year-old Solis is ranked as the number-one WBC challenger and will enter the ring with a record of 17 wins and no losses, including a dozen knockouts. Vitali Klitschko is 39 years old and boasts a record of 41-2 with 38 knockouts.
Solis has accused Klitscko of fighting “weak opponents for years” and predicts he will beat the Ukrainian and leave Cologne as the champion.
Klitschko calls Solis a very experienced, quick and uncomfortable opponent and promises he will not underestimate him.
Klitschko's younger brother Wladimir holds the International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization heavyweight titles. The only professional heavyweight belt not owned by one of the Klitschko brothers is the World Boxing Association, which is currently held by Britain's David Haye.
